Columbia Pacific Maritime is located close to the Portland International Airport
(PDX) providing many of options for food, lodging and transportation to our
students.

The following motels were selected because they are located a few minutes from
the school with an easy drive in light traffic, or as an option for those flying into
PDX and not wanting to rent a car, they are a short inexpensive cab ride away.
They are also clean, some provide a free continental breakfast and they provide
a sizable discounts to our students that can bring the rates down to around
$50 a night.

Maritime Schools and Training

Although there are several part-time instructors in the Portland-Vancouver area
that offer a very limited selection of USCG approved courses once or twice a
year, there are only two full-time USCG approved training schools located the
area.



FCC Commercial Radio Examiners for the Marine Radio Operators Permit

There are two commercial radio examiners located the Portland area that are
authorized to administer the FCC Marine Radio Operators Permit exam.
