Upgrade Master 100 tons to Master 200 tons Class (COLPAC 526)

    This course will satisfy the exam requirements for the raise in grade of
    Master 100 tons or less to Master or Mate 150 or 200 tons.

    Subjects include navigation, Safety, and Inspected and Uninspected
    Vessel Regulations.

    Class prerequisite is a Master or Mate 100 tons or less
    endorsement or valid course completion certificate.

USCG approval

    Any applicant who has successfully completed your Upgrade Master
    100 Tons to Master 200 Tons (COLPAC-526) course and presents
    your Certificate of Training within one year of the completion of training,
    will satisfy the examination requirements for upgrade of a merchant
    mariner endorsement as Master not more than 100 gross tons Upon
    Near Coastal, or Great Lakes & Inland, or Inland Waters to Master or
    Mate of not more than 200 gross tons Upon Near Coastal, or Great
    Lakes & Inland, or Inland Waters. The course completion certificate
    issued upon successful completion of this course is valid for one
    application which results in the issuance of an endorsement(s) and may
    not be used for future application transactions.

How to Schedule A Class

    Call Pat at (503) 841-6066 to schedule a class.Most classes require a
    $100 non-refundable scheduling fee that is deducted from the price of
    the class. This fee can be paid over the phone by credit card, by check
    or in cash if you wish to stop by the school. Always call first before
    stopping by the school.

Class Enrollment

    On the first day of the class you will be required to provide a
    government issued photo ID and full payment for the class. Acceptable
    methods of payment are cash, check or credit card (MasterCard or
    Visa).

  • The price listed for the class is the total cost of the class, no other costs
    will be added (we have not increased the price of any class since 2006).
